Sister Angelique Cronje

Sister Angelique Cronje

Angelique's passion for wound care started many years ago when she was still a student nurse. She loved working in the surgical ward and, more especially, being allocated to the dressings room. Angelique believes she must have been doing something right because she was called to assist with the wounds whenever there was a staff shortage.

After qualifying she worked at a GP practice in a rural area and gained a lot of experience in minor procedures, burns and many other types of wounds, which she had to manage with very little resources.

While working at a frail care centre for 6 years, having to treat Diabetic wounds, lower leg ulcers and so forth Angelique came to realize that wound care had become a specialist field with a vast amount of modern day products available.

In 2016 Angelique was appointed as wound care nurse at Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital where she gained experience in Pressure Ulcers and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy. In 2017 she moved to Medwell SA, a company specializing in home based nursing, where she obtained a lot of experience in the broader spectrum of wound care.

Angelique is very enthusiastic about the prospect of her wound care practice and serving the local community
